01
The brief we set ourselves
Small lifestyle brands inherit themes designed for catalogues of thousands. With forty products, the same template feels empty and the buying decision gets no help at all.
We wanted a storefront where a short, considered catalogue is an advantage rather than a gap to fill.
02
Approach
We ordered the page around the questions a buyer asks — what is it made of, will it fit, how do I care for it, when does it arrive — and made that the product page structure.
Filters were replaced with editorial collections: rooms, materials and use cases people actually browse by.
03
Design
Product imagery sits on warm neutral surfaces so materials read accurately, with one accent colour reserved for availability and cart state.
The cart is a persistent glass control rather than a page, so adding an item never interrupts browsing.
04
Development
Implemented as a Shopify theme with progressive enhancement — the storefront works as plain HTML and layers interactivity on top with small web components.
Cart and variant updates use section rendering instead of a client-side framework, keeping the JavaScript budget honest on mobile connections.
05
What we took from it
The concept produced a reusable pattern set for short-catalogue commerce: editorial browse, information-first product pages and a non-blocking cart.
Concept project. No client, no sales figures, no conversion claims.
